Just a few days back, Apple rolled out iOS 9.1, endowing users with a slew of new quirky emojis ranging from cheese to tacos to unicorn. But those who want to make the most out of the software by the art of jailbreaking have no working jailbreak tool to turn to right now.
The latest the cybersphere could offer only works for iOS 9.0 up to 9.0.2 and it is made by Chinese hacking team Pangu, who sadly has no update or hint about the creation of a new one. In iOS 9.1, Apple made sure to scotch Pangu's jailbreak magic on its devices.
Unfortunately for users who already switched to the latest available build of the firmware, reverting back to the older one is no longer possible. Apple has stopped signing iOS 9.0.2, which means that downgrade is no longer an option.
Anyone with an iPhone or iPad that longs to get the newest from Apple and the jailbreaking community can't have the best of both worlds at the moment. It's either they stay away from iOS 9.1 or make the jump and just wait for the iOS 9.1 jailbreak tool to come.
Apple is also quick-moving in terms of keeping its products up to speed with its latest software. Less than a week ago, the Cupertino-based iPhone maker seeded iOS 9.1 to its users. A few days after, it made available the first build of the iOS 9.2 to users registered as public beta testers.
Word is that a month from now and multiple betas more, Apple will release the final build of the iOS 9.2. Trusting that hacking teams consider and are aware of such information, users can expect that Pangu or any other hacking entity on the block are already working on the much-anticipated iOS 9.1 jailbreak.
