Spike TV's competition series "Ink Master" is ready for a brand new season, which will premiere in March.

The network revealed the details of season 7 on Tuesday and as expected, the 16 participants will fight to create the most amazing tattoo designs in the hope of landing the $100,000 grand prize.

Not only that, contestants will also be featured in the magazine "Inked" and will be called an "Ink Master." What's interesting is that this year's season will bring some new twists that will make season 7 the biggest season of the series yet.

Eight new contestants will join the competition and will face judges Dave Navarro, Chris Núñez, and Oliver Peck. Navarro shares that these new faces will be competing against eight "returning veterans." Even though they may have never been in the competition before, Núñez describes the new set of artists as some of the strongest contenders they have ever seen.

Peck also teases that the next season will bring fans a "higher level of artistry" and "stiffer competition." He even revealed that some of the new artists have greater chances of advancing to the finale.

Not only will the season bring back previous contestants, but these veterans will also be in charge of deciding what tattoo design will be used in the elimination rounds.

Fans should also expect that contestants will form bonds with each other to help them get through the challenges, but in the end, these bonds will be broken because the contenders will eventually compete against each other.

Spike TV already introduced the new artists. They are Picasso Dular, Alex Rockoff, Anthony Michaels, Ashley Velazquez, Christian Buckingham, Corey Davis, Cris Gherman, and Megan Jean Morris.

These artists will compete against Sarah Miller, Cleen Rock One, Sausage, Matti Hixson, James Vaughn, Jime Litwalk, Jesse Smith and St. Marq. These contenders are back to seek revenge as they feel they were robbed of the title of "Ink Master."

Catch new episodes of "Ink Master" season 7 beginning Tuesday, Mar. 1, at 10 p.m. EST on Spike TV.
