The Nintendo Switch–exclusive downloadable content (DLC) for "I Am Setsuna" is coming this week.

Publisher Square Enix recently announced that the exclusive DLC for "I Am Setsuna" for the Nintendo Switch gaming console is coming on Thursday, April 13. Players of the game do not need to visit the Nintendo eShop, as the new DLC will be added to "I Am Setsuna" as a downloadable patch.

Referred to as "Temporal Battle Arena," the new DLC can be accessed by playing the main storyline of the game and talking to a specific character found in one of the maps.

Aside from this, the new DLC will also have a party-on-party coliseum battle mode. This feature allows players to upload up to three of their own battle data creations. In turn, other gamers may download these data creations, either picking randomly or choosing a specific battle data of a particular user.

Once matched, these players combat in artificial intelligence–based bouts. Players who have better equipment have the upper hand in the battles. Meanwhile, those who emerge victors in "Temporal Battle Arena" will have the chance to get random sprintnite stones of the opponents.

During the launch of the gaming console last month, Game Director Atsushi Hashimoto said that they are looking forward to bringing an exclusive game to Nintendo Switch, in a press release issued by Tokyo RPG Factory, Square Enix's studio dedicated for classic Japanese role-playing games (RPGs).

He continued, "The team has grown up loving the various great RPGs that Nintendo's consoles continue to provide us, so it's an honor to be here at the start of the Switch story." Hashimoto also wishes for the success of Nintendo Switch and hopes that fans will enjoy the game on the new console.

"I Am Setsuna" revolves around the story of a woman who made a sacrifice for her people in order to save them. The game combines classic Japanese RPG style with nostalgic stories and gameplay. "I Am Setsuna" was released on March 3, priced at $39.99. It is also available for the PlayStation Vita, PC, and PlayStation 4 platforms.
