Guerilla Games may still be mum about the actual release date of the action role-playing game "Horizon Zero Dawn," but it seems like fans could finally learn more about it very soon.

The game is expected to be announced during Sony's presentation at the E3 2016 next month in Los Angeles, California.

According to PlayStation Universe, Sony will come up with a live stage demo of the game showing the post-apocalyptic environment that is populated by mechanical giants.

The game's description on the PlayStation website revealed that players could take on the role of Aloy, the highly skilled female hunter and archer who has to find a way to survive in a world dominated by mechanical robots using primitive weapons.

"Against overwhelming odds, you must embark on a compelling, emotional journey to uncover the secrets of a forgotten civilisation, the ancient artifacts they left behind, and to learn more about the advanced technologies that will determine the fate of the planet – and of human life itself," the game's description said.

But a rumor circulated last month saying that the game developer is not yet prepared to release the game anytime this year. According to a tipster on the NeoGAF forums named Shinobi602, the 2016 release date of "Horizon Zero Dawn" will be pushed back a little further, and it will become one of the first games that will be featured on the rumored next-generation Sony gaming console, the PS4K, iDigitalTimes reported.

If Shinobi602 turns out to be real, it means that the action role-playing game could possibly become available not earlier than 2017.

But Sony Interactive Entertainment and Guerilla Games have yet to confirm or deny the said claim. However, it could be safe to expect more information about the upcoming game such as its gameplays and features during the E3 on June 13.
