'Halo 5' 'Hog Wild' and 'Warzone Firefight' updates set for May and June release

"Halo 5" fans can expect the "Hog Wild" update by the end of this month, though it will have less content than the original plan. However, the following update, "Warzone Firefight," will contain the bigger items of "Hog Wild," which will be released by the end of June.

The announcement came through the game's Halo Waypoint website, where it says, "We've recently made some changes to the 'Halo 5' content release plan, which mainly focus on giving a few of the bigger items that were slated for the 'Hog Wild' update a bit more time for finishing touches and polish. As a result, much of the contents of the Hog Wild release have moved to the Warzone Firefight release, which is currently scheduled to drop at the end of June."

343 Industries, the game developer, also mentioned the details of the upcoming updates. "Hog Wild" will include the Sword Needler Warthog, a variant of the M12 Force Application Vehicles, or commonly known as Warthog, which will contain Subanese crystal explosives as part of its surface treatment, as well as a Sangeili regenerative shield technology. This will give its occupants the much-needed protection that the original Warthog desperately needs.

A Stinger armor will also be coming, which is the lightest among the GEN2 variant, along with its helmet, developed to work with the AV-49 Attack VTOL. Additional weapons such as Hybrid SMG, Hybrid AR, Hybrid BR and Hybrid DMR will be dropping as well.

As for the "Warzone Firefight" update, the post mentioned that fans will get to experience the much-requested PvE mode that can be played on different maps, plus, game updates, Warzone and Arena maps. Several Forge-related updates will be included as well.

Fans will receive more information by next month.

"Halo 5: Guardians" is currently available exclusively for the Xbox One.
