In only a matter of few days, "Grimm" season 5 premiere will air and fans will get to see how last season's shocking events would affect the main protagonist, Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli).

In the finale episode of season 4, Nick was deeply hurt about what happened to his mother, Kelly (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio), and his longtime love, Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch).

Nick had to watch Juliette die in his arms when she was shot by his Grimm-in-training, Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni). That was not just it — he had to discover his mother's head inside a box in his very own home.

Now, as season 5 is set to air, it's inevitable to ask how someone who's been through a lot could come back strong.

In a season 5 preview released by NBC last week, Nick was seen dealing with his loss in a frantic way. In one trailer, Nick was shown calling his friends Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) to tell how Juliette was dead, Trubel kidnapped and Kelly's head missing as well.

Of course, Rosalee was shocked, especially by the news on Juliette's death. In another sneak peek video, Nick also tells his partner Hank (Russell Hornsby) what happened and that he suspects Agent Chavez (Elizabeth Rodriguez) is behind Trubel's kidnapping.

Nick continues to tell Hank that he'll go after the FBI Agent but Hank warns him about doing so.

Oregon Live reported that Nick will get into a "nasty confrontation" with Chavez, since he knows she's a Wesen and he strongly believes she's responsible for Trubel's disappearance.

When "Grimm" season 5 returns, fans should expect the well-loved Grimm dealing with so many troubles and the fact that he will also become a father to a half-Grimm, half-Hexenbiest with sworn enemy Adalind (Claire Coffee).

Catch the return of "Grimm" on Friday, Oct. 30, at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
