'Grimm' season 5 episode 13 spoilers: Killer mask maker rigs lucha libre wrestling in 'Silence of the Slams'

Luchadors rise up in "Grimm" season 5 episode 13. NBC

After a taxing journey to Germany, Nick and Monroe are back in Portland in the next "Grimm" season 5 episode, not to wind down from the trip where they narrowly escaped death but to take on another troublemaker.

The next installment titled "Silence of the Slams" starts with a local mask maker who is killing Wesen in order to create luchador masks. Whoever wears these masks gain immense power and strength.

But as the promo for the "Grimm" season 5 episode teases, "With great power comes deadly responsibilities." The easy-power they receive seems to make murderers out of the brawlers. It is also through this that an ancient Wesen warrior tradition will be injected in moden lucha libre wrestling.

In fact, they turn into killers both in and out of the wrestling ring. Together with Rosalee and Hank, Nick and Monroe will stop the person that creates the masks.

Apart from getting to the bottom of this new killer threat, the duo will also have to follow up with the discoveries they made back in Germany. Nick confides with Wu, Hank and the others.

"Nobody can know about this," Nick tells them, suggesting that they once again came across another important piece of the puzzle in this "Grimm" season 5 episode.

Meanwhile, Capt. Renard will be given an offer, which is believed to have something to do with him running for mayor in the city. After the candidate he supported was killed, it looks like he will step up to the plate and run for the position himself.

As for Eve, the assassin will still be busy looking into Black Claw activities in this "Grimm" season 5 episode. However, as she goes further along the investigations, she is met with more questions than answers.

Also, the next episode of "Grimm" season 5 is expected to explore the resurfacing of Adalind's hexenbeist powers and how Nick's newly-acquired treasure could help.

"Grimm" season 5 episode 13 "Silence of the Slams" airs March 18 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
