Two years have passed since the fifth installment of "Grand Theft Auto" (GTA) franchise was released and now, fans are excited for another sequel of the hit Rockstar game series.

But whether or not GTA VI will happen soon remains uncertain and all the news circulating the game title are pure rumors and speculations.

Nevertheless, it can't be denied that GTA fans are currently enjoying the fifth game installment since Rockstar also provided updates and fixes to the games.

Meanwhile, a GTA VI would surely be a delight and news has it that it will be released anytime soon. News about a female character appearing in the new game is also popular; but as iDigitalTimes wrote, all reports are based on hearsays.

For instance, there's the rumor that Eva Mendes would have a voice role in the new game. But that has been debunked as well and there's no concrete evidence to prove such.

Apart from the Mendes rumor, there are also speculations that Rockstar would have all of U.S. maps incorporated into the new game, as reported in Tech4Gamers.

But according to MoviePilot, that would prove to be difficult since doing so would bring issues to the game.

"Driving from one city to another could be a real chore, especially if it's just filled with country side and nothing much to do in between," the report stated.

But Rockstar North's president Leslie Benzies has commented on the U.S. maps talks, stating in an interview with Digital Trends, "Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas."

It may not have pushed through for GTA V but it could be one of their goals when they think about the next game.

It's only appropriate for Rockstar not to release a new game so soon after GTA V, considering the GTA series is a big hit.

According to Benzies, even a year won't be enough to develop a top-quality game and he clearly stated that GTA franchise will not release an installment every year for that reason.
