'GTA V' news: Bigfoot spotted as playable character

Bigfoot has long been rumored to be featured in "Grand Theft Auto's" (GTA) Los Santos area. In fact, a lot of fans have spent a long time looking for the legendary character in "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," but to no avail, TechnoBuffalo reported.

But now, one of GTA's treasured secrets has been discovered — and it's in a very interesting way.

Bigfoot is not some character one will discover hidden in areas, but rather within a player.

GTA V's recent game update includes the Cryptozoologist achievement, which lets players unlock different animals that will be used in Director Mode.

However, many players only stop at 21 animals and start to wonder where and what the final creature would be.

One Reddit user, rkRusty, set out to investigate and discovered that a player must do something very specific in order to unlock the final creature, and it involves experimenting and hunting for plants.

In the world of GTA, there is a wild peyote plant that may be found scattered all throughout the game map after the recent update.

This wild plant lets the player hallucinate as an animal, but in order to get Bigfoot to appear, players will have to play from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays. Furthermore, the weather should be foggy when GTA is played on personal computer (PC) and snowy when played on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (PS4).

The wild peyote plant can then be found in the area with coordinates 1472.531, 4439.456, 18.862, and this particular plant will turn the player into Sasquatch.

A video posted on YouTube from 2H2K showed the hallucination process after eating the wild plant. The player goes on a hallucination mode and is still able to fire weapons and drive vehicles. The player can also end hallucination at any time.

Unfortunately, Xbox 360 and PS3 players cannot enjoy this game update because of technical issues that don't allow extra content to be added.
