'GTA 6' rumors: Game to be released in 2018? teleportation ability to be featured

Fans of the "Grand Theft Auto" (GTA) game franchise are excited about the arrival of the next installment, GTA 6, but there is no release date given yet or if Rockstar Games is indeed working on it.

However, rumors suggest that the developer is currently working on the next game installment due to the noted success of GTA 5, a report from Crossmap stated. If that's the case, the rumored release date of 2018 is less likely because the outlet also reported that Rockstar usually takes five years to develop a new game.

This is also supported by Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick's statement, during an interview with MCV UK a couple of weeks ago. In his interview, Zelnick shared his thoughts about releasing games.

He said that the company is more focused on improving game quality rather than have a short time frame in between releases.

"Even if that means we need to postpone putting something out, even though we don't like to, in order to achieve high quality. Everytime we do that, we're gratified by the results," Zelnick said, according to MCV.

So far, all the information about GTA 6 are based on speculations. For instance, word has it that the next installment will offer various maps of the United States, as noted in the report by Neurogadget. There were also talks that the game will allow players to teleport from one place to another.

Of course, Rockstar has not released a comment regarding this matter, but a lot of gamers hope that this would be considered for GTA 6.

As for its availability, Realty Today gathered that GTA 6 will not be coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (PS3) if it gets released. This would be a disappointment for all those who own the consoles.

The reason behind this is that both Xbox 360 and PS3 may not be able to run the game properly with its more enhanced features. If GTA 6 gets released, it's likely to be available only on PS4 and Xbox One, the news outlet continued.
