"Grand Theft Auto 5" (GTA 5) has just recently been released, but this early, gamers are already looking forward to the next installment.
Although GTA 5 has been releasing a lot of content lately, it seems that the GTA die-hards are already eyeing more improvements. As we speak, game developers are said to be already brainstorming for the next installment, although there is no affirmation on whether or not they are listening to the rants of the GTA fanbase.
One thing that GTA fans are vouching for is to have a female protagonist. Developer and publisher Rockstar had reportedly already considered the idea, although it remains to be seen if GTA 6 will be the installment where all that will happen.
Previous rumors linked celebrity Eva Mendes for the role alongside real-life partner Ryan Gosling. Could the two be among the lined up protagonists for GTA 6? Well, keep an open mind on that.
Aside from the main protagonists, there is also the matter of the time setting and the location where it would take place.
There is word that GTA 6 could take place somewhere in the 80s which will reflect on each character, gameplay, and storyline. It remains to be seen if all this will be set up in the real world or another fictional one made up by Rockstar game developers.
Among the plausible locations mentioned include Chicago and London, among other potential real-life towns. Wherever game developers end up deciding to hold it, perhaps they should also bear in mind that gamers are looking for something set in a more realistic environment.
For now, it remains to be seen when Rockstar plans to unveil GTA 6. KnowYourMobile suggests that it could come no earlier than 2018, while Rockstar Games Studio Head Leslie Benzies reveals that there is still no definite details on the game and that it will only come "in the near future."
