Unfortunately, the new "God of War" game for the PlayStation 4 will not be shown at the PlayStation Experience event this December. A lot of fans are frustrated by the news, as most of them have waited for the announcement in order for them to see the game firsthand.
According to Game Spot, the game's director — Cory Barlog — himself said in his Twitter account that they will not be showing anything of the game at the PSX event. However, he will be hanging out with the PlayStation fans at the event. Barlog also said that he will play games with fans present during the event. Also, he attempted to offset the growing frustration of the fans by saying that the wait will be worth it, as he promised that they will show something awesome once "God of War 4" is ready.
The PlayStation Experience 2016 event is reportedly going to take place at the Anaheim Convention Center on Dec. 3 and 4. Regardless, Sony has yet to disclose any information when it comes to the game lineup for the show as well as the things that will be announced within the event.
As fans can remember, the "God of War 4" game was announced way back in June at the E3 2016 event. Balrog talked about how the game had some heavy influences from a canceled "Star Wars" TV show, and as such he promised that the game will offer something more diverse for the fans. He even went so far as to stress that he want people to take Kratos more seriously by reinventing him and the series' perspective.
Regardless, the game will have a new style of gameplay, according to the Parent Herald. The brand new setting of the "God of War 4" will make full use of the PlayStation 4's capabilities. In any case, once the "God of War 4" game is released sometime in 2017, fans will get the chance to appreciate the changes made to the title.
