"Game of Thrones" season 7 may come a bit later than usual next year, but production is already well underway with on-set photos supplying fans with bits and pieces of information that can strengthen their respective theories.

Much of the attention right now is on the ongoing filming in Spain where a supposed major battle scene is tipped to ensue. With filming taking place at Los Barruecos, some photos were leaked online courtesy of the gotseason7_news Instagram account. The images show the involvement of hundreds of extras and horses. And if this is any indication, the battle will become a pivotal piece in what is to about to go down in the next season of the HBO hit show.

The description of the sequences has the Lannisters trotting back home after they have just looted Highgarden. And while they are confidently carrying their stolen goods, Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and her Dothraki horde attack them from out of nowhere. The battle will also have Randyll Tarly (James Faulkner) and Dickon Tarly (Tom Hopper) in the mix.

Meanwhile, another supposed leak coming from the filming in Spain involves another Lannister, Jamie (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), and Ser Bronn of the Blackwater (Jerome Flynn) leading their own pack. A separate on-set photo also made its way online courtesy of a Twitter user named Adrián Alonso. Taken at the Trujillo Castle, it shows Jamie holding the Widow's Wail. There are a few possibilities in regard to the snap but the most prominent of it all is the potential of it reuniting with the other sword made from Ice — the Oathkeeper.

As fans would know, the Oathkeeper was given to Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) — twice, in fact, by Jamie and the two swords are destined to come together as one. It is quite possible that during this massive battle, Jamie and Brienne will no longer be on opposite sides as rumor has it that the former will eventually switch allegiances. This makes sense in bringing not just the two swords together but also the silent lovers.

"Game of Thrones" season 7 is expected to premiere on HBO in summer 2017.
