Developer Playground Games has chosen Australia as the setting for their upcoming game "Forza Horizon 3," and it is scheduled to launch by September. Racing fans cannot wait to get their hands on the game.
"Forza Horizon 3" is the third game in the "Horizon" series and the ninth in the "Forza" franchise. It is an open-world environment and nothing is more appropriate for the Horizon Festival than the Land Down Under, the company said in its announcement,
It said, "In Forza Horizon 3, Australia is the home of the Horizon Festival. As one of the most beautiful and varied countries in the world, Australia makes the perfect setting for Forza Horizon 3 and the team at Playground has translated the Land Down Under into the largest and most diverse open world ever seen in the Forza Horizon series."
Since the country offers a diverse environment, players will get the chance to try out racing on different terrains, such as, city street, caves that look like scenes from a science fiction movie and across the beach, where the limestone stacks known as the "Twelve Apostles" are located, not to mention the Outback and thick rainforest that that continent has to offer.
For the vehicles, racing fanatics will have the chance to gain more than 350 vehicles that include the new Lamborghini Centenario, Ford Raptor, Ariel Nomad and several Class 10 buggies, just to name a few.
The company also talked about the impressive visual aspect of the game. Playground Games used the latest art technology in its offering, showing the stunning Australian sky. Eurogamer added that the company incorporated their own footage of the skies that was taken last summer. They used a custom-built HDR 12K camera rig to take the shot that resulted in a real-life Australian skies.
The upcoming game also features a cross-platform four-player campaign co-op, which was featured at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016. This means that gamers can invite up to three of their friends, either on Windows 10 or Xbox One, and get into a race while appreciating the view.
"Forza Horizon 3" will be exclusively released for the Xbox One and Windows 10 on Sept. 27.
