It has been more than a year since Warner Bros. Pictures announced that they will bring the popular "Five Nights at Freddy's" video film franchise to the big screen. But details about the film has been scarce since then.
Fans of the series who were looking forward to the see the movie were constantly asking game creator Scott Cawthon for updates. In September, the independent game director answered a question on Steam Community about the film, but he simply said that he will make a new update about the film's development in the coming days.
"I'll make a news post about this soon. I know a lot of people are curious about what's happening with it!" Cawthon stated. But the game creator might have forgotten about his promise since he did not mention anything about the upcoming film after that.
This prompted speculations that the planned movie adaptation of "Five Nights at Freddy's" will no longer push through. But one of the fans speculated that the reason why Cawthon delays any details about the film was because he is still busy working on three movie scripts for all the "Five Nights at Freddy's" video games. He might also be involved in the creation of the animatronics of the film while making the spin-off game "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location."
Film director Gil Kennan is also tight-lipped about the developments of the film.
Other rumors claim that the cast for the planned "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie had been completed. According to rumors, the cast roster will include Chris Pratt to portray the role of Mike Schmidt, Bill Murray as Freddy Fazbear, Alison Brie as Chica, Frank Welker as Bonnie, Nick Offerman as Foxy, as well as Luke Hawker as Golden Freddy.
The official release date of "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie also remains unannounced.
