"FIFA 18," the newest edition of FIFA, is still mostly shrouded in mystery but there is one thing that is certain: it will be one of 2017's biggest games because the popular gaming franchise from Electronic Arts (EA) Sports had always produced successful installments probably due to the number of football enthusiasts all over the world. However, there are a few things that need clearing up when it comes to the game's latest installment.

There is no confirmed release date as of yet for "FIFA 18" but it would most likely be released in late September because since FIFA 15, the game has always been released during that particular month. There will most likely be early demos but expect EA Access members to get a hold of the game first.

EA had already stated that FIFA would be moving toward current generation consoles so they would most likely be dropping the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 (PS3). However, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen did say back in 2013 that the company would continue its support for last generation consoles until 2017, which mean that the game may still be available for the Xbox 360 and PS3. However, if that does happen, then it would just be like the FIFA 17 where players weren't able to get the full experience of the game because FIFA 17 had run on a new engine, Frostbite, that was not supported by old gen consoles.

"FIFA 18" would be available on Switch, Xbox One and PS4.

There may just be minor upgrades in terms of the graphics and visuals because the game would still be run by Frostbite. However, The Sun reports that there will be a "dynamic weather" on the new edition which means that weather changes are bound to happen during the game.

As far as leagues go, the Chinese Super League has been added to the game and players can also expect to see the Indian Super League as well as the German third tier.

The most likely player to be on the cover of "FIFA 18" is Cristiano Ronaldo as he is currently the biggest name available in the game. Players can expect not to see Lionel Messi on the cover since he has officially cut ties with the franchise.
