'Fear the Walking Dead' season 2 release date and plot spoilers revealed

 AMC

AMC's "The Walking Dead" proved to be a major success that a spin-off for the series was created. The spin-off, "Fear the Walking Dead," also garnered positive reviews and a strong fan base that the show was picked up for another season.

Nothing has been set when it comes to season 2 of the series, but that doesn't mean fans won't be treated to some teasers about the renewal.

However, Cinema Blend reported that "Fear the Walking Dead" could be a summer series, considering it premiered in August this year. The pilot season only had six episodes, but if AMC decides to order for more, an August premiere is likely. Otherwise, the series may premiere alongside "The Walking Dead" season 7.

As revealed in a previous report, fans will get to see season 2's water scenes. "Fear the Walking Dead" showrunner Dave Erickson said in an Entertainment Weekly report that the next season will feature Victor Strand's (Colman Domingo) yacht, and how survivors from the land will meet the refugees on the sea.

A report from Melty also mentioned that Kim Dickens' Madison Clark will head over to the dark side. Madison's dark personality emerged in the previous season and is expected to be given focus once the show returns.

Dickens also commented on how she doesn't have a clue on how "Fear the Walking Dead" is going to continue.

"I don't know if we'll jump ahead or keep the pace where we were during the first six episodes, the writers are so creative, I find myself surprised by every script I get!" the actress told Melty.

Meanwhile, show co-creator Robert Kirkman also has something to say about the upcoming season 2. "There's definitely going to be a lot of intense action and a lot of awesome boat stuff," he said, according to EW.

Kirkman also promised that there will be a lot of "cool things" to be revealed in "Fear the Walking Dead" once it returns to TV screens next year.
