'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2' release date, plot and cast news: Film to highlight Newt's Patronus?

For anyone who loves magic and the art that comes with it, they know that Eddie Redmayne's character Newt Scamander deserves another shot at the big screen. The only catch, though, is that the release date of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2" remains uncertain. Interestingly, its plot may have possibly been unveiled.

According to a Twitter reply from the titular author of "Harry Potter" series J.K. Rowling, the possible Patronus of Newt was taken to the spotlight. Basically, a fan asked Rowling about it specifically to which the author, unfortunately, chose not to answer. "Big Spoiler," she tweets.

Pottermore describes Patronus as "a kind of positive force" that puts Dementors away for good. If there is any truth to these talks, it is very likely for Newt's Patronus to be connected with someone he dearly loves. Severus Snape is actually an epitome, as his Patronus was a doe and refers to the love he has for Lily Potter.

In the original film, Newt can be seen having an intense relationship with Katherine Waterston's Tina Goldstein. Although the directors chose not to highlight it in the first part of the move, the ending totally gave it away. If his Patronus indeed has something to do with her significant other, then it is likely for the directors to put romance in the spotlight.

It remains vague if whether or not "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2" will show more about Newt's personal life. But until the people behind the movie announce it officially, only then can these rumors be put to rest. For now, it is better to take it as a grain of salt. The highly anticipated sequel is expected to hit the big screen come Nov. 16, 2018. Johnny Depp is expected to reprise his role in the film.
