'Fallout Shelter' news: Another big update rolls out, adds scrapping, 3D Touch support and a few more

Fallout Shelter Bethesda

Developer and publisher Bethesda recently launched update 1.5 for "Fallout Shelter." This is another big update for the mobile game, which the company undoubtedly hopes will make it more enjoyable for players. Scrapping and 3D Touch support are included in the latest patch.

Patch 1.5 for "Fallout Shelter" was launched last April 21, and the company eagerly announced on its website the changes that the patch will bring along.

"Fallout Shelter Update 1.5 is here to make your life as an Overseer easier!" the announcement said.

First, players will now be able to tidy up their respective Storage rooms. Scrapping is now available, which will allow its players to turn those unwanted things into Junk, and then use it to craft new things that will be useful for the dwellers of the Vault.

Second, players using an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus can now directly go to their desired vault or saved game using the game's icon. This step skips the main menu of the game, which uses Apple's 3D Touch feature. Additionally, players can assign a dweller to a room via the 3D Touch, as well as access the storage by simply tapping any Storage Room.

The Barbershop can now make the dwellers look different. Additional customization options have been added to the said room and will make the game even funnier.

The company said, "You'll hardly even recognize your dwellers when you're done with them. You can even make them look like Ghouls!

Lastly, the company also inserted new civilian outfits to craft, which can also be found in the lunchboxes.

The crafting option was added during the last update, 1.4, that was rolled out early March. Bethesda also mentioned that there are plans to create more features for the game and will drop them when they are ready.

"Fallout Shelter" is free to download on iOS and Android smartphones.
