Following months of waiting for the "Fallout 4" PlayStation 4 mods, the latest intel on the matter suggests that they will finally be arriving soon. PS4 users will now have the luxury of experiencing the mods for the action role-playing game if the latest reports eventually come to fruition.

"We're happy to announce Fallout 4's Creation Kit is updated today to support mods on PS4. Go to your Bethesda.net Launcher to update your Creation Kit," a recent announcement on Bethesda's official website reads. This update seems to suggest that the much-coveted mods' arrival is imminent. The Creation Kit contains mods that are downloadable for free.

It can be remembered that it has been a tumultuous road for PS4 console owners to get their hands on the "Fallout 4" mods specifically made for their gaming device. The altered version was supposed to go live a few months ago but it has yet to see the light of day. Unfortunately, despite the fans clamoring for mod support, Bethesda could not give out specifics on what the problem was or at least a timetable on when players could expect it to arrive. At one point, the company's vice president for public relations and marketing, Pete Hines, revealed that the delay wasn't coming from their end but from Sony's.

Bethesda is not really known for rushing to release mods for console systems but it seems like, among the devices, it is always the PS4 users who are getting the shorter end of the stick.

Last month, however, hope sprung anew when the game developing company revealed that they may have found a way to make it work for PS4 but with a restriction — mods cannot use external assets. Nevertheless, fans were happy to at least get some sort of development.

No release date yet for the patch that will bring the aforementioned mods but with Bethesda starting to release details, it may be sooner than later.
