'Fallout 4' news: Game-crashing glitch found; 'Alien' Easter egg discovery means more mysteries

"Fallout 4" is still fresh in its release, but it already has a bug that ruins a player's game.

The "game-breaking" bug was discovered by several players and was brought up in Bethesda's forums. According to those who have experienced the bug, exploring the Monsignor Plaza will suddenly terminate the game without error messages popping up.

According to forum member JoeBBBB, the bug seems to show up once a player passed a certain point in the story. It was also noted that when unlocking or passing through a certain location, the bug would also appear.

The "Acolyte" forum member also revealed that nothing would fix the bug. Starting the game afresh and reinstalling the game and playing saved games won't even make the bug disappear. Going back to the save point before the crash happened won't also be of much help, but may put off the bug for a short while.

Game bugs are not uncommon in any fresh releases and some of them are only considered minor. However, this "game-breaking" glitch seems to be serious, PC Gamer noted.

The news outlet already reached out to Bethesda for comment and asked for a time frame to the solution, but the game publisher has yet to issue an announcement on the matter.

More updates about the glitch should be posted in the coming days. Meanwhile, "Fallout 4" is known for the junk items that the player can pick up to turn into something useful.

However, the junk that Imgur user 1Times picked up was more than just a piece of reusable scrap — it has a special secret to tell.

The user found a Flux Sensor in a wasteland and observed that something was off with the item. With further research into the item, 1Times discovered that the sensor had random numbers on it that are linked to the hit sci-fi movie, "Alien."

1Times then uploaded pictures explaining his research and where one can find the Easter when looking at the map.

What this means for "Fallout 4" players is that the game holds more mysteries waiting to be revealed.
