While "Fallout 4" players are already enjoying enhanced content through mods for the PC and the Xbox One, PS4 owners are left out since Bethesda has yet to release the feature for the Sony console. Speculations say that the developer is working overtime and that the mods feature will go live for the PS4 next month at the latest.

Bethesda has already confirmed that the mods feature release will be delayed for the PS4. However, the studio has yet to come out with a specific release date on when can fans expect the feature to go live on the Sony console. Bethesda just stated, "We will update everyone when we can."

Reportedly, the delay is not on the files themselves, but rather how the PS4 is set up, so Bethesda has to find a way around it. For the PC and the Xbox One, the studio has had no concerns when porting the mods feature for "Fallout 4," since Microsoft has allotted third-party content for up to 2 GB. However, the opposite is true for the Sony console, as the PlayStation 4 only allows up to 900 MB of ported data. This is a concern for the mods feature in-game, since files for the enhanced content for "Fallout 4" eat a considerable amount of memory.

Meanwhile, since Bethesda is already working on the mods feature for the PS4, it is expected that the new fixes and updates that rolled out for the Xbox One and the PC will be included once the PS4 version rolls out. The mods feature for the Microsoft platforms recently received a new update. Patch 1.6 has platform-specific fixes and over-all gameplay improvements for the mods' Creation Kit app.

Although Bethesda has not promised a specific release date for the mods feature on the PS4, it is possible that it will come out before the last major DLC for "Fallout 4" rolls out, which means any time next month.
