'Fallout 4' mods PS4 news: support release pushed back as issues with Sony, in-game glitches continue

 [Bethesda]

While the official mod support for "Fallout 4" has already been released for the Xbox One and the PC, the PlayStation 4 has yet to receive it.

While Bethesda has already confirmed their plan to release the mod creation support for the PS4 by June, right now the release date has been delayed. The "Fallout 4" update 1.5.4 was supposed to bring the PS4 mod support, but the release has been delayed, according to Gotta Be Mobile.

With this, Bethesda is doing its utmost to deflect frustration from various disgruntled PS4 "Fallout" fans, saying that once all the known issues in this add-on have been solved, they'll release it immediately. However, with the update 1.6 already available for the PC, with the Xbox One following soon next week, it's unclear whether or not the mod support for the PS4 will ever arrive.

Regardless of whatever version of "Fallout 4" one is playing, its mods aren't perfect to say the least. Players will most likely run into issues once the PS4 version of the mod support is released. But there are a lot of resources on the internet that would certainly help resolve these problems. For one, PS4 mods can be addressed by looking into Bethesda's official forum for fixes.

Meanwhile the update 1.6 for "Fallout 4" offers various fixes such as base scripts getting an upgrade or general stability enhancements that fix the crashes when data files are changed or existing in the Creation Kit. Furthermore, this update also fixes some text fields that are not getting saved properly for terminals. Finally, it also adds new material files to the list of files that could be archived.

The newest update is now available for download on the PC and will be released to Xbox One, and hopefully the PlayStation 4.
