"Fallout 4" players using the PS4 are still hoping for the quick release of Bethesda's patch for the "Far Harbor" DLC. The reason for this is that after the release of this DLC, a lot of players complained about the game being full of bugs.
Furthermore, those who use the PS4 report that the game is encountering some serious performance issues as they installed the DLC after its release just last week. These problems include freezing and framerate drops that occur on such a scale that it immediately became commonplace.
However, players need not be worried as Bethesda has already given Sony an update patch and they're just waiting for final approval, so it won't be long now before those pesky issues are fixed. A lot of players are becoming impatient even with this, since it has been reported by fans that the game's framerate could go to as low as 15 fps when played on the PS4; this is far from the game's usual performance.
Most players speculate that the reason for this performance issue is the more liberal use of a volumetric fog effect prevalent on the island, which usually causes the PS4 version to drop to 20 fps. The Xbox One version also suffers this kind of FPS fluctuations, but it isn't as bad compared to Sony's PlayStation.
In any case, Bethesda already promised the patch update for "Fallout 4: Far Harbor" DLC via their official Twitter account. However, while this update applied the much-awaited corrective measures for the Xbox One by May 31, the fix might take longer for the PlayStation 4. But according to Parent Herald, it might be out by June.
Aside from the fix, this patch update will allow players to create their very own Bethesda.net account. Alongside this, players will now be able to download fan-made mods with a limit of 2GB per player.
