'Fallout' 4 mods: Xbox One mod tool lands May 19 along with Far Harbor DLC

Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC Bethesda

Envious Xbox One fans can now create mods for their "Fallout 4" game, with the closed beta mod creation starting May 19, right after the release of their third DLC expansion, "Far Harbor".

Unfortunately, for PlayStation 4 owners, the release date for the modding tools for this game won't be available until at a later time.

According to a post made in Twitter by Bethesda Studios, they boasted that a few weeks after releasing their modding tools for "Fallout 4" in the PC, more than a million mod downloads has been made. That, of course, was inevitable, due to the fact that the PC has always been a good platform for modifications: regardless of whether the players make their own tools or the developers themselves release it, as is the case with "Fallout 4." As such, the release of modding tools to the console platform could possibly yield interesting results.

Interestingly enough, a lot of the mods for "Fallout 4" in the PC version have violated the fair use and copyright laws. In a report made by Gamespot, it cited examples of mods depicting prominent elements from other famous games such as "The Witcher 3" or "Metal Gear Solid V". Some mods even brought iconic pop culture items such as the Light sabers from the "Star Wars" movies. It's highly unlikely that the console players have the means of getting those mods in the same manner compared to their PC counterparts because of stricter copyright laws.

A lot of Bethesda's open world titles like "The Elder Scrolls" had so much mods ever since, which offered different gaming experiences for each player. One specific game in "The Elder Scrolls" franchise is Skyrim, and according to PC Gamer, ever since its release in 2011, it has more than 40,000 mods. These mods affect the game both usefully and hilariously, like adding new quests, fixing up glitches, or even adding an impressively complex weather system.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
