The season won't definitely be all too jolly in Albert Square as Christmas Day will bring devastation to "EastEnders" fans.
The characters of the BBC soap opera will, unsurprisingly, go through difficult times and as confirmed by bosses, one major character will meet his or her demise and it will happen on Christmas day.
"Someone will die on Christmas Day. We haven't revealed it to anyone, there will be a surprise death," producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins told BBC Radio, as relayed by The Sun.
As for who will die, of course, the production team has kept silent, neither confirming nor denying any speculation.
According to UnrealityTV, there's a big possibility that FatBoy (Ricky Norwood) will be killed off, knowing that he is already set to leave the show. Jane (Laurie Brett) is also likely to die as she could be little Bobby's (Eliot Carrington) next victim.
Then again, they are all speculations and viewers will just have to tune in to find out who will leave the show through death.
Meanwhile, Christmas will still be a sad time for Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner) as she will be facing it alone. According to Closer Online, Stacey will deliver her baby just before Christmas and soon she'll succumb to the effects of postpartum psychosis.
Treadwell-Collins revealed that Stacey's mental health status will be one of the main focus of the Christmas storyline and as the New Year comes, since the show will "explore Stacey's bipolar disorder and its effects on her and those closest to her."
As for Kat Moon, played by Jessie Wallance, she will be back in Albert Square on the big holiday, but without Alfie (Shane Richie) and the kids in sight, RadioTimes reported.
But eventually, she'll receive a surprise visit from Alfie and the kids, as he is set to figure out why Kat left. The executive producer also revealed that Kat and Alfie meeting will bring both tears and laughter.
It will definitely be more of a heartbreaking Christmas 2015 for "EastEnders."
