E3 2016 news: Bethesda to hold pre-E3 event

 Bethesda

Bethesda has announced its plans for this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. Much like what the studio did last year, there will be a pre-E3 event for fans to check out.

In an announcement on the company's dedicated E3 2016 page, Bethesda states that the showcase for the studio's E3 appearance starts on June 12, the Sunday right before the expo kicks off. The post also touches on a surprise treat for fans, since Bethesda also declares that lucky fans will have the chance to experience first-hand the studio's planned events. From the fans who register on the website, Bethesda "... will select a lucky group of registered fans to receive official invites for themselves and one guest to the E3 Showcase + BE3 Plus. If you are selected, you'll receive an invite to the event."

The pre-registration for the event will be live until May 1.

According to GameSpot, while this will be the second time that Bethesda holds a pre-E3 event, this is the debut of an "after-party" – the BE3 Plus. Reportedly, the event after the showcase will also be a major event for fans, as it highlights playable demos as well as an appearance by a "top-secret band."

Those who are not lucky enough to get the invites can still check out the BE3 and BE3 Plus online since the events will be live-streamed. The pre-show stream starts at 6:15 p.m. PDT, while the E3 studio showcase starts at 7 p.m. Meanwhile, the BE3 Plus kicks off at 8 p.m. and will last an hour, with the "top-secret band" appearing at 9 p.m.

Meanwhile, since Bethesda is a big-name studio in the industry, with popular franchises under its belt, fans are speculating on what the company will bring to the E3 2016 table. Rumors suggest that "Dishonored 2" is already a shoo-in, since the game is scheduled to be released this year. Other speculations say that Bethesda may also announce a big project such as "The Elder Scrolls VI."
