Square Enix revealed a new "Final Fantasy" character to join the roster of the upcoming fighting game "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT." Golbez aka Theodor, the main antagonist in "Final Fantasy IV," is now one of the antagonists in "Dissidia NT."

The trailer released by Square Enix highlights Golbez's magical prowess, capable of attacking his opponents from a long range. The video also shows the character's ability to manipulate elements like fire, water, thunder and earth. The Man in Black's Shadow Dragon is also featured in the video.

Golbez from "Final Fantasy IV" and "Final Fantasy IV: The After Years" is the counterpart of another "Dissidia" character, Cecil Harvey.

Based on his dynamic and massive magic attacks, Golbez's battle type is Marksman. His strategy is the same with "Final Fantasy VI" characters Kefka Palazzo and Terra Branford.

Golbez's EX skill wasn't revealed in the character trailer but based on previous "Dissidia" video games, one of Golbez's weakness is his speed. However, his explosive Bravery and HP attacks are capable of keeping or launching his enemy away.

Square Enix has been uploading character trailers including ones for Cloud of Darkness, Noctis and Jecht.

Other than Golbez, Square Enix also released a video for a new combat stage to be included in the game. The Stellar Fulcrum from "Final Fantasy XI" will be one of the available battlegrounds for the game.

"Dissidia Final Fantasy NT" is scheduled to be released on Jan. 30, 2018. Instead of the usual one-on-one combat, the game will feature a three-versus-three gameplay. The video game is now available to pre-order through Amazon, PlayStation and directly from Square Enix.

The standard package of the video game is offered for $59.99. People can also purchase the Ultimate Collector's Edition for $189.99. The Ultimate Collector's Edition includes the game, a collector's box, 84-page artbook and an 8.25-inch Warrior of Light bust.
