"Destiny's" latest DLC, "Rise of Iron," brought in several new things to the game. One of them is a quest that has bemused the gaming community because of its complexity. It even required converting binary numbers to decimals. However, the puzzle was solved in a matter of days because players who are math geniuses combined their powers in order to solve the quest. The reward is the exotic pulse rifle called Outbreak Prime.

The latest adventure on Bungie's online-only first-person shooter game started when players discovered the Wrath of the Machine, a chest that nobody can figure out how to open because it was protected by five lasers. It was then discovered that the secret key involves five monitors spread out in the raid, and each one will disable the laser beams, according to a Kotaku report.

Polygon added that players were only able to access the monitors after beating an elaborate encryption scheme, which required crowdsourcing. Different players took part in creating a larger image of more than 900 files. Program scripts were even created to compile and translate unrecognizable text files into readable hex codes. The result is a diagram of a room in the raid that shows four cylinders that need to be stepped on in order to disable the laser barrier.

The fifth monitor required another separate decryption process, which was explained by Datto on Reddit. Although, it did not end there. A quest within a quest, "Channeling the Corruption," required a specific set of characters, one Hunter, one Titan, and one Warlock. Once completed, the exotic pulse rifle Outbreak Prime can then be obtained. The weapon offers 390 attack damage, and players need to be at least level 40 to use it.

The weapon's description reads: "Enemies that take repeated hits from this weapon spawn SIVA nanites that attack other enemies. Fallen take extra damage."

Now, players do not need to do all the complexities performed by the first challengers. They just need to follow several steps. A summary is for the intricate procedure is also available.
