'Dead By Daylight' DLC updates, news: Mike Myers features in 'Halloween'-themed DLC

Mike Myers as the new killer for the "Halloween" DLC Starbreeze/Behaviour Studios

The popular and newly released horror game "Dead By Daylight" seems to have some new "Halloween"-themed content for their players. The new downloadable content (DLC) pack — which is based on the popular Jack Carpenter film — includes a new killer, a new survivor, and a new map, all for the price of $7.

According to Game Rant, all three of the new "Dead by Daylight" DLC packs will feature "Halloween," which is certainly perfect for any horror movie fan who have watched the film before. The new survivor comes from the 1978 film, Laurie herself, the "final girl" played by Jamie Lee Curtis.

Furthermore, the suburban town of Haddonfield — Laurie's hometown — will be the new map that comes with the DLC, which offers new obstacles like cop cars as well as suburban housesa that could be used as hiding places.

Of course, the main reason why this new DLC has sold a lot is because of the new killer, Michael Myers. As fans can remember, the character's main motivation is obsession. By toying with an obsession, the player will have a significant boost to both attack and movement speed. However, killing the obsession will also have a long term benefit for the killer by giving a debuff to the remaining survivors.

Behaviour Interactive — the company behind the game — has certainly done a good job in integrating the "Halloween" movie to "Dead by Daylight," which offers a Mike Myers killer that looks, moves, and behaves like his on-screen counterpart.

According to Shack News, Mikael Nermark — COO and head of the Publishing division for Starbreeze — said that everyone within the company is certainly excited to introduce the characters of "Halloween" in their game, and that it has been a great pleasure for them to see the characters come to life because of Behaviour's ingenuity.
