'Dark Souls III' DLC release date news: Two expansion packs expected

Dark Souls III From Software, Bandai Namco

"Dark Souls 3" will have two expansion packs coming its way. It was earlier rumored to have three DLCs, but that was due to a wrong translation from the original content. Fans expect that the first one will be coming this fall, but very little details are available.

Since "Dark Souls III" is the third and last game in the series, which has already been confirmed by Banda Namco, there are some rumors that the developer may decide to let its players revisit some old and memorable places in the series. This may include some previous expansion packs for the game, which were: "Artorias of the Abyss" from the original game and "Crown of the Sunken King," "Crown of the Old Iron King" and "Crown of the Ivory King" from the second game.

Fans received the three DLCs for the "Dark Souls II" well. Some even said that the expansion packs are even better than the main game, NeuroGadget reported.

It was also previously reported that fans can expect new things to come their way when "Dark Souls III" first DLC arrives. The expansion pack will bringing in several new maps, new bosses to defeat and several more enemies to slaughter. New weapons and armors were also reported to arrive.

Christian Times said that there is also a possibility that there will be three upcoming DLCs for the game, but the season pass will only cover the first two, while the third one will be an additional purchase.

Fans can also expect a large amount of content to explore, which will keep them busy for a time.

Fans are looking forward to hearing some great news about "Dark Souls III" during the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 coming next month.
