'Dancing With the Stars' 2015 cast news: Announcement set for Sept. 2

Season 21 of "Dancing with the Stars" will kick off this fall and so far, the rumors of celebrities making it to the show are pouring in. Casting for "DWTS" has always been met with anticipation and speculation. This has become part of the show's attraction and this season is no different. 

The final cast will be announced on Sept. 2 on "Good Morning America." So far, "GMA" has revealed 9 of the 13 pro dancers who will be joining season 21, namely Karina Smirnoff, Sharna Burgess, Allison Holker, Artem Chigvintsev, Witney Carson, Peta Murgatroyd, and the returning champ from the previous season, Val Chmerkovskiy. 

One of the judges, Len Goodman, will not be coming back but Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Julianne Hough who just got recently engaged will be back for the upcoming season. Tony Dovolani was rumored to fill in for Goodman but the network has not confirmed this, saying that guest judges will likely fill up the vacancy for the next season. 

One of the leading celebrity names who is speculated to be part of "DWTS" season 21 is Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter together with surfer and television correspondent Bethany Hamilton, and "American Ninja Warrior" star Kacy Catanzaro. "Pretty Little Liars" star Shay Mitchell is also rumored to be one of the celebrities who will be dancing on the "DWTS" stage together with Olympics short track skater Allison Baver. Another rumored celebrity who will likely be in season 21 is Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe. 

Other celebrities who have been linked to the show's upcoming season are NBA player Anthony Davis, "I am Cait" star Caitlyn Jenner, and "Fuller House" star Jodie Sweetin. Other names include "Silver Spoons" star Ricky Schroder and "Glee" star Darren Criss. 

Although news on how many couples will be competing for season 21 is unclear, a promising season on "Dancing with the Stars" can be expected, judging from the rumors circulating about the stars who could be dancing this season.
