"Dance Moms" season 6 is definitely back but the show won't premiere until next year.

However, the cast members have already participated in their first competition, which will be shown when season 6 returns. International Business Times has the juicy details on what can be expected from the first episode of the upcoming season.

Back in season 5, "Dance Moms" failed to walk away with wins from their competition, but this time around it changed.

For their first competition for season 6, Abby Lee Miller's dance team has been successful in taking home several winning titles in teen division and preteen lyrical division and a platinum award for the preteen jazz solo during the Sheer Talent Special Edition Competition held in Glendale, California last Oct. 10.

So fans can expect the winning moments and the happy faces from the contestants as well as the creative dance number the team had put up to be featured in the upcoming season.

With the results of the competition, Miller's dance team didn't just walk away with the recognition, but they were also successful in beating their old rival, Broadway Dance Academy by Jeanette Cota.

Cota's team came in at second place for the teen division, according to a spoiler report.

Meanwhile, news about "Dance Moms" star Maddie Ziegler joining or exiting the show have made the rounds online for quite some time, but it appears that the teen sensation is really back for the show based on Miller's Instagram posts.

In the IBTimes report, it was mentioned that Ziegler was included in the program, but she wasn't there to compete alongside her teammates.

But in a recent post from Miller, who usually shares updates about the dance team on the social media platform, a photo of Ziegler competing for team Miller showed up in her account, Fashion&Style reported.

An exact release date for "Dance Moms" season 6 has yet to be announced but the show is expected to return sometime in January 2016.
