'Criminal Minds' season 11 spoilers, cast: Another BAU member leaves? Paget Brewster to return?

"Criminal Minds" season 10 cast CBS

CBS' popular crime drama "Criminal Minds" will now be in its 11th season and fans have seen several major characters exiting the show.

One of them was Emily Prentiss, portrayed by actress Paget Brewster, who was last seen on the show as a recurring character in season 7.

Now that the brand new season is fast approaching, fans are eager to know if Brewster will make a surprising comeback and reprise her role as the multilingual, supervisory special agent Prentiss.

In an appearance at the Television Critics Association in Beverly Hills, Brewster answered the most common questions fans have about "Criminal Minds."

According to the actress, she would love to reappear on the show, as reported in TVLine. However, she may have a hard time making that work since she's currently signed on with "Grandfathered," a comedy show from Fox.

She expressed that she was hoping she could do more episodes with the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) members because her friend and former colleague A.J. Cook just finished up her maternity leave.

But, as Brewster said in TVLine's report, "It didn't work out, time-wise."

In season 10, Jennifer Love Hewitt filled in Brewster's spot after Rachel Nichols (Star Trek) and Jeanne Tripplehorn (Waterworld) from the previous seasons.

Hewitt played Kate Callahan, an FBI undercover agent who applied at the BAU. After one season, the actress left the show to focus more on being a full-time mom.

Now for season 11, the show has picked Aisha Tyler (Ghost Whisperer) to replace Hewitt's character. She will be portraying Dr. Tara Lewis, a forensic psychologist considered by Hotch to be the most qualified person for Kate's position.

"Criminal Minds" season 11 will surely pack up on more surprises especially that show regular Matthew Gray Gubler, who plays the amazing Spencer Reid, teased that another BAU member will be leaving.

Gubler revealed the news to Zap2it and he even mentioned that he will be the one to direct that particular episode.

Whom will the fans see leaving the team of criminal catchers?

"Criminal Minds" season 11 will air fresh new episodes starting Sept. 30 at 9 p.m EST.
