'Criminal Minds' season 11 news: a mole inside BAU; Aisha Tyler brings fresh insights to cases

Criminal Minds season 10 cast CBS

It's the month of September and it means that the new season for "Criminal Minds" will soon premiere.

The crime drama series is bound to bring more exciting episodes, especially with the release of the show's teaser promo.

The clip released by TV Line shows team leader Hotch (Thomas Gibson), together with his unit, trying to solve yet another case involving a more "bizarre" and "twisted" case.

Furthermore, it gave a hint of how the unsub for the season premiere will be as it described his modus operandi, which is to "overwhelm his victims silently and then inject them," as said by character Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore).

"Criminal Minds" showrunner Erica Messer also hinted to TV Line that the unsub paints his victims' faces and Hotch's team will discover why he does that. According to Messer's reveal, the unsub also has an unpleasant face that he himself has a hard time looking at.

The promo also featured the appearance of Aisha Tyler as Dr. Tara Lewis, a forensic psychologist who will be the "brand new mind" to help the team solve cases.

Moreover, it was also implied in the teaser that a mole within the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) exists and he or she has been tipping off the unsub all along. Who the spy could be is a big reveal when "Criminal Minds" season 11 premieres.

As if that is not suspenseful enough, it was also revealed by Matthew Gray Gubler, who plays the extremely smart Dr. Spencer Reid, that season 11 will feature another exit of a valuable member of the team.

"I almost don't want to give it away, but I might as well. It's the departure of one of the regular team members," Gubler said, according to Zap2it. What's more interesting is that he will be the one to take on the director's seat for that particular exit episode.

The season premiere for "Criminal Minds" season 11 will be on Sept. 30.
