'Criminal Minds' season 11 episode 17 spoilers: Morgan looks back on his painful past to capture his abductors

Derek Morgan begins his investigation into his abduction in Criminal Minds season 11 episode 17. CBS

Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) seems to be shaken by the latest event in his life, which will be carried over to the next episode of "Criminal Minds" season 11.

In the previous episode titled "Derek," the life of the BAU's supervisory special agent was put in danger after being kidnapped by a group of criminals with a hidden agenda. He escaped his abductors with the help of his team before his time ran out. However, it does not mean that he is already out of danger.

Based on the photos released by CBS, Morgan will do everything that he can to find out who abducted him. This means that he has to go relive a lot of painful moments in the past. Is this the abductors' way of continuously torturing the BAU agent?

However, Morgan has to capture the culprit as soon as possible since his life will continue to be in danger as long as the criminals are still on the loose loose. He must also protect everyone he loves while looking for his abductors, since they can also be the target of the group's next attack.

Does it mean that his fiancée Savannah Hayes (Rochelle Aytes) is also in danger in the upcoming episode?

Meanwhile, the other members of the BAU team must go on a trip to Wichita to solve a case involving a mysterious UnSub who has a peculiar way of abducting children at night.

According to spoilers for the episode, a kidnapper referred to as the "Sandman" is taking his young victims by sprinkling sand with glue on the eyes of their sleeping parents.

The official synopsis for the episode reads:

"The BAU heads to Wichita in search of an UnSub abducting children while their parents sleep. Also, Morgan tries to find who was responsible for his attack."

"Criminal Minds" season 11 episode 17 airs Wednesday, March 16, on CBS.
