Last month, Firaxis released its latest Sidmeier turn-based, strategy game, "Civilization VI," and though the game raked in positive reviews from fans and critics alike, it seems like gamers have been having issues with the game's AI. Now, Firaxis has a new major update for "Civilization VI" and it looks like the new patch has brought along with it balance changes, AI tweaks, an exciting new scenario for the game's multiplayer mode and a bunch of new maps.

Since its release, gamers have been enjoying "Civilization 6," however, like every other game, the sixth Sidmeier "Civilization" videogame has had its fair share of issues. According to a report by Eurogamer, AI has been one of the main issues of the game, denouncing players whatever approach they take and leading them to war. Pulling gamers into war eventually leads to gamers picking up penalties for warmongering, sanctions that can be quite difficult to deal with.

In its full notes for the new patch update, Firaxis details the AI balance changes it's made in relation to Warmongering. The patch notes reads, "Reduced Warmonger penalties in most instances, and adjusted how this reacts to returning versus keeping a city. The last city conquered from a player now provides a heavy warmonger penalty, even if you have a Casus Belli against this player, because you are wiping out a civilization."

The update has also fixed a lot of other problems with the game's AI, which includes increasing its competitiveness in Science and Tourism by fixing its victory condition; tweaking its understanding of the gamer's declared friendship; increasing its use of the Inquisitors; and a lot of other tweaks that gamers can read in Firaxis' full patch notes.

Aside from addressing the bugs and issues in "Civilization VI," the new patch also adds on a new scenario called Cavalry and Cannonades in the multiplayer mode of the game, as well as two new types of maps called the Six-Armed Snowflake and the Four-Leaf Clover.

Not only will gamers be able to play the new maps online, but they can also play it offline. The map likewise encourages gamers to be more upfront in the game.
