Captain America 3 spoilers, plot rumors: Nick Fury appearing in Civil War

Don't expect Samuel L. Jackson aka Nick Fury to appear in Captain America 3: Civil War.

This was confirmed no less by Jackson himself, meaning Fury won't be around to get Cap or any MCU hero that would appear in the third Captain America film as he has done from previous films.

Could this have something to do with the fact the Jackson has only two films left on his contract with MCU? Possibly. But despite that, Jackson is awaiting a contract extension meaning he wants to be back. All that however could fall on the numbers game should he re-sign.

With Fury out, it should be interesting when and how he would be re-inserted before the third Avengers installment, Avengers: Infinity War comes around.

If the comic version is to be followed, Fury did go into hiding once war broke out. This could be an angle to all that as Fury tried to determine what happened to SHIELD or could be out trying to discover new heroes to recruit and star later on.

Fury has been a link to most Marvel heroes as seen in the different movies where he has appeared in but it looks like this time, he won't be around at least for the time being.

That and of course the fact that he has yet to sign a contract extension come into play but judging by his impact on the film, it seems unlikely that he would not be re-signed to return. He has two appearances left but judging by the list of Marvel movies lined up, Fury's appearance is obviously still prevalent.

Captain America 3: Civil War is set to hit theaters on May 6, 2016, a key film which should start priming up the third Avengers movie: Avengers 3: infinity War Part 1 set to be shown on July 28, 2017.
