Campbell Soup Company has issued a voluntary recall involving SpaghettiOs Original after pieces of plastic were found inside the 14.2-ounce cans.

The company announced in its official post last Nov. 12 that 355,000 cans, with a stamped date of Feb. 22, 2017 and UPC code 51000 22432, are part of the recall. These stamped details can be found on the bottom of the can and under the product's bar code, respectively.

The voluntary recall was issued after the company received several complaints about red plastic bits present inside the product, fearing for potential choking hazards.

In the announcement, the company mentioned that the plastic bits may have come from the possible peeling off of the can lining.

The recall extends nationwide as the product is known to be distributed to different retail stores in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee,  Texas, Utah, and Washington, according to a representative from the company, who provided the information to ABC News.

The company is also urging customers who may have the recalled product to not eat it and take it back to the store where they bought it from. Customers can get their money back in full or have the can exchanged.

Campbell Soup Company is a Camden, New Jersey-based food company that boasts of annual sales of over $8 billion. Founded in 1869, Campbell's products have been trusted for many generations due to its "authentic, flavorful and readily available foods and beverages," as its website says.

Despite the latest recall, Campbell remains to be loved by many of its supporters. Based on the comments found on the company's announcement regarding the recall, people were not deterred by the incident.

One consumer named Karen Graham even wrote that the company has done a very good job in handling the recall. Graham added that she's been a patron of Campbell products for many years and will continue to have confidence in what the company brings.
