'Call of Duty 2016' news: Game to boast realistic space action and explosions

New information about the heavily-rumored "Call of Duty 2016" has emerged, thanks to a job listing posted by game publisher Activision. As it turns out, the company is looking to bulk up the manpower of Infinity Ward, the studio in charge of putting together the next "Call of Duty."

The collaborators are looking for a temporary visual effects artist who will be responsible for creating visual effects "for our next title," which media outlets believe is a reference to "Call of Duty 2016."

Among the qualifications Activision needs for the job, what stands out the most is its requirement for the aspirant to be capable of creating "realistic explosions, demolition [and] destruction."

This suggests that "Call of Duty 2016" will indeed feature space combat, as what previous leaks suggested. On top of that, players will be treated to detailed, rich and realistic space blasts and cosmic-level damage.

This puts weight on the recent claim of reliable industry insider Shinobi that "Call of Duty 2016" will be set in a very far future. He said that the setting is so far-off that it "makes Black Ops 3 feel like the Stone Age, metaphorically of course."

Shinobi added that Activision and Infinity Ward are going "full-on sci-fi" for "Call of Duty 2016," a concept that sure makes a lot of fans drool. The shooter will even come with space combat as well.

There have been tons of talks about what "Call of Duty 2016" will be all about. One rumor claimed the game will be subtitled "Bloodlines" while other reports claimed that it will be a new iteration of "Ghosts."

Fans will get a good look at "Call of Duty 2016" at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 in June. A release date for the game is yet to be revealed, although it is expected to drop later this year.
