After 12 years, "Bones" will have its final season aired, and it is set to premiere on Jan. 3. The season finale's title has also been revealed, and it is called "The End In The End."
The hit crime procedural drama TV show on Fox will air its last season. This means that the storylines of Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), Dr. Camille "Cam" Saroyan (Tamara Taylor), Dr. Jack Hodgins (T.J. Thyne), and James Aubrey (John Boyd) come to a close in 2017.
The show will only have 12 episodes as its final offering.
This will never be easy for the fans that have been following the TV show for the past 12 years. Although many followers of the show also see the good things with the situation at hand; where there will be a proper closure for its characters. They will also have the chance to see their favorite characters for the last time instead of just being axed by the network. Another thing to be happy about is that they would finally know the real character of The Puppeteer who emerged last season.
However, it appears that before revealing the true identity of the villain, a final round of murders will still be taking place. It is said that that the team will have to go undercover during a lumberjack competition, although details are scarce at the moment, IBTimes reported.
It is also speculated that Cam and Arastoo (Pej Vahdat) will finally tie the knot. Zack [Erick Milligan] is out, but he will definitely be back, and Seeley believes that Zack will kill his wife, Brennan. Other rumors suggest that Zack will actually sacrifice himself in order to save Brennan, who has been supportive of him for the past several years. Brennan is also said to be suffering from having low esteem on the upcoming season, probably due to her fear of imminent death.
The season finale will also star Stephen Fry as chef Gordon Wyatt, Betty White as Dr. Beth Mayer, and Eddie McClintock as Sully. Hal Holbrook and Ed Asner will also lend their acting abilities.
