'Blindspot' season 2 finale may see Roman be killed off

The second season of NBC's crime drama series "Blindspot" is about to come to an end. And everyone wants to know if Roman, who is portrayed by Luke Mitchell, will bid the show farewell in the season finale. Is Roman going to be killed off?

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Jaimie Alexander, who plays the lead character, Jane Doe, reveals Roman's fate. According to the actress, the character is safe — for now. Alexander found out about it from executive producer Martin Gero.

Alexander told the news outlet, "He said Roman will be around, but he just may not be what he seems. I was like, 'Cool, as long as he's here for a while.' He's like, 'He's here for a while.' 'Good. You're taking everybody I like!'"

For the uninitiated, everyone is wondering if Roman will make it to the next season of the show because he got into a scuffle with the series' heroine. After finding out that Jane was responsible for his losing of his memories, he attempted to kill Jane with a knife. Since she is the lead character of the series, it seems highly unlikely for her to be killed off. Hence, many have been wondering if Jane defends herself and kills Roman in the process. But based on Alexander's tease, Roman will survive.

In an interview with TV Guide, Gero once shared that the last four episodes of season 2 lead up to the big finale. The exec reveals to the publication that the season finale is "enormous." According to him, questions from episode 1 of the series will be answered in the finale.

"Blindspot" season 2 is down to its final two episodes. The penultimate episode of the season, titled "Mom," will premiere this Wednesday, May 10, at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC. Meanwhile, the season finale, titled "Lepers Repel," will air on May 17.

More updates on "Blindspot" season 2 should arrive soon.
