Fans of "Breaking Bad" spinoff "Better Call Saul" can expect more drama to unfold when the show returns for a second season.

According to a September report from KOAT 7 Albuquerque, the show is currently filming for season 2, set to premiere in 2016.

The news outlet further revealed that the show will be filming in Albuquerque, New Mexico where a B-29 bomber was spotted on the set.

In addition, staff at the airport also reported that the "Better Call Saul" production team used the maintenance building and hangar for filming.

Not a lot of details have been revealed about the second season, but according to Crossmap, two characters from "Breaking Bad" will appear in "Better Call Saul" and reprise their roles.

One is Gustavo Fring, the kingpin played by Giancarlo Esposito. Back in "Breaking Bad," Jimmy McGill/Saul (Bob Odenkirk) allowed Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) to meet and claimed he has never met Gustavo in person, but that might change when season 2 returns.

Saul's secretary, Francesca (Tina Parker) is also rumored to make an appearance in season 2.

It's unsure whether Parker will be appearing as a guest star or will be given a recurrent role in the show.

The reports on "Breaking Bad" characters reprising their role in "Better Call Saul" have yet to be confirmed as it remains to be seen who among the characters will really make the appearance.

Meanwhile, season 2 is expected to bring more developments to the story, especially with Odenkirk's character making a dark transition to become the drug lawyer.

"There's something tragic about the fact that this guy who is so open-hearted and essentially a decent person becomes this drug lawyer. It creates a lot of tension in the show," show co-creator Peter Gould said, according to a report from Variety.

The second season of "Better Call Saul" should air sometime in 2016. No exact premiere date has been given out but the first quarter next year is likely.
