"Attack on Titan" chapter 85 shocked many fans. It was revealed that the basement of the Yeager family contains secrets about a safe society in the outside world that many would not believe exists, but the picture proves that there is one.
Eren, Captain Levi, Hange, and Mikasa decided to explore Dr. Yeager's basement. This is also the first time that Eren will go back to the place where he spent his younger years. The group also found out that the key that Eren was holding to on all these years was not for the front door but for a secret compartment on his father's desk.
The secret compartment holds three books and a picture of a family of three which contains an inscription at the back written by Dr. Yeager. The inscription says: "I come from outside the walls, where life is elegant and comfortable. In reality, humans are not extinct at all."
Fans did discuss who the man on the picture might be. A few suggested that it is Grisha, the father of Eren, but many also suggested otherwise. Some fans even went through different images of Grisha which further proved their point that it is not the same man. However, the majority of the fans suggest that it might be the first king of the Reiss family, according to Hall of Fame Magazine.
"Attack on Titan" chapter 86 is expected to focus on the mystery photo. There are still three journals that remain to be seen, and these journals will definitely provide additional information about what goes beyond the wall. It is also speculated that it will provide the story of the events prior to when Reiss King controlled the minds of the first inhabitants of the walled city.
The journal could also provide the history of the Titans, an insight of the first Titan, and the process of how they were created. It could also provide information about their classifications, and it could also explain the secrets of the titan shifters
'Attack on Titan' chapter 85 has already been published, and chapter 86 is scheduled to be released on Oct. 8.
