The "Assassin's Creed" movie will be hitting the big screen soon. The second trailer confirmed that it is scheduled to premiere on Dec. 21.

With just two months to go, game developer and film co-producer Ubisoft once again tickled "Assassin's Creed" fans with the second trailer for the game's movie adaptation. Fresh new action scenes were inserted in the previous trailer, making it longer than the first. The trailer also used a generic sounding rock song when Callum Lynch/Assassin Aguilar de Nerha's (Michael Fassbender) jumped back into the past.

Allan Rikkin (Jeremy Irons) is also seen in the clip, and he states how important Callum is to his plan, to tap into the memories of his ancient assassin relative, Nerha. This is then possible using the Animus, a fancy VR-like technology which dwells deep into the person's genetic memory.

The latest "Assassin's Creed" trailer also featured the other skills of Nerha, which reveals that aside from using the hidden blades on his wrist, he is also well versed with crossbows, arrows, daggers, and axes. The other characters, Dr. Sophia Rikkin (Marion Cotillard) and Moussa (Michael K. Williams), are also shown.

Film studio 20th Century Fox gave the gist of the movie as: "Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day."

The movie will be released in North America, Switzerland, and France on Dec. 21. On the other hand, theaters in Hong Kong, Israel, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Ukraine will start showing it the following day. Fans from Spain, India, Lithuania, Turkey and Taiwan will be able to watch it starting Dec. 23. Other parts of the world will have it before the year ends, added WWCFTech.

"Assassin's Creed" fans are a bit skeptical about the upcoming movie when Pat Crowley, the executive producer, previously said that the adaptation will be about 65 percent in the present time and 35 percent in the past.
