Developer Studio Wildcard has just released a new "Ark: Survival Evolved" update, which arrives with new content and tons of exciting stuff. The new patch is called v257 and is now available on the game's PC version. Not only did it add a good number of creatures and gears, a number of tweaks and changes have also been introduced.

The aforementioned "Ark: Survival Evolved" update is believed to be the largest of all updates in the game's history. According to GameSpot, the changes to the TEK Tier system headline the v257 update. Thanks to these changes, players will now be able to develop a TEK cloning chamber. As its name suggests, it will allow players to clone creatures of any kind. The only catch? Well, the stats of the original version will be retained.

Update v257 also comes with a bunch of TEK Tier items. For instance, players can now use the TEK Saddle to ride their Megalodons. There is also an enhanced turret that can automatically fire compared to its previous version. Moreover, there is the TEK sticky grenade, powerful enough to bring forth explosions.

PCGamesN reports that one of the new creatures in "Ark: Survival Evolved" is a giant bee called Apis Lithohermaea. This creature acts as a constant source of honey, perfect for survivors who love such sweetness. In order to build a beehive, players must first capture and tame their own bee. However, doing so is synonymous to preparing a good amount of honey.

The other new creatures are Kentrosaurus Aethiopicus and Liopleurodon Magicus. The latter is the more interesting one, as it grants luck to players who are able to catch it.

To know more about the current update of "Ark: Survival Evolved," the developers have posted the patch notes on the game's official website. As for the update's console release, the exact date remains unknown.
