Despite the Apple Watch being on the stores for more than one year, Apple hasn't made any announcements for its rumored and highly-anticipated Apple Watch 2.
There's no solid release date yet, and even though a lot of people expect that an announcement will be made around June at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), a report made by Value Walk clearly suggests otherwise.
However, that doesn't stop rumors from spreading around, and various forums as well as a lot of people on social media have their own speculations. The most popular among these rumors is that the new Apple Watch is a standalone device--meaning it won't need the iPhone anymore.
The current Apple Watch needs the iPhone whenever used for making calls and sending text messages. This requires users to download an app to their phone in order to make the watch work.
So if the rumor is true, the bottomline is that the new Apple Watch won't need to be paired with an iPhone to work to its fullest capacity anymore. This is further solidified by the fact that Apple posted about the upcoming development for "native" apps for the watch. This implies that the new watch will have better performance in terms of speed since the apps will now run directly in the watch. However, a lot of users are worried that they might pay for a separate plan if that's the case.
Apple Watch was the first wearable device made by the same company, which is designed with both functionality and fashion in mind. It's available in various different colors and materials, as well as seven interchangeable straps. This device was first launched in April 24, 2015 with a starting price around $350. Ever since then, Apple has made more models. Last March, Apple decreased its starting price to $300 and added even more design options to this device, which made it more affordable and offered more variety to a wider range of people.
