Apple unveiled the iPad (2017) last month and has recently become available on sale. It replaces the iPad Air 2 and serves as a good alternative for those who prefer a lower-priced device with good specifications.

The new iPad (2017) comes with its usual 9.7-inch display screen size with 2048x1536 pixel resolution. It is powered by a dual-core Apple A9 64-bit processor clocked at 1.84 GHz. In the Geekbench application, the result shows that the new iPad is not as powerful as the iPad Pro model last year, which runs at 2.4 GHz. Nonetheless, its score surpasses the multi-core benchmarking test of the Apple iPad Air 2.

Aside from this, the new iPad comes with 1 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. For its camera, the new iPad comes with 8-megapixel rear shooter and 1.2-megapixel front snapper. Other features in the new tablet include a fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a lightning port, and a 32.4-watt-hour rechargeable lithium polymer battery. The iPad (2017) comes with the iOS 10.3.1, Apple's latest operating system so far, out of the box.

The new iPad sells at $329. Many believe that this is a good deal, especially since the iPad Pro costs about $599. The new tablet brings in good features that will enable users to perform tasks with mobility at a cheaper cost.

Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president for worldwide marketing, said in a statement, "iPad is the world's most popular tablet. Customers love the large, 9.7-inch display for everything from watching TV and movies, to surfing the Web, making FaceTime calls, and enjoying photos, and now it is even more affordable."

"New customers and anyone looking to upgrade will love this new iPad for use at home, in school, and for work, with its gorgeous Retina display, our powerful A9 chip, and access to the more than 1.3 million apps designed specifically for it," he added.
