After the Nexus devices were able to have the newest Android N Nougat update last month, a lot of people who own Android-powered Samsung devices are now curious as to when they will get their very own upgrade. Recent reports say that this new operating system is already undergoing modifications to ensure compatibility to Samsung devices.

According to the Gospel Herald, reliable sources say that the first batch of upgrades for the Android N Nougat OS should start by the fourth quarter of 2016, which means that these updates will be during October, November, and December. Furthermore, it has been revealed that Samsung will have the Galaxy Note 7 as the first device to have the Android 7.0 Nougat Update once the OS is released to Samsung devices.

As tech-enthusiasts can attest to, the rumored release date of the newest Android OS for Samsung Devices seems to be consistent with the current pattern of the operating system's previous releases. After all, the Marshmallow update started its beta testing period with the Galaxy S6 models back in October 2015, with the firmware getting released in December that same year. As such, it is possible for Samsung to have its flagships run on Android Nougat OS before the year ends.

Mobipicker reports that T-Mobile listed the Samsung devices available in their network that will receive the new OS, and they include the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge plus, S7, and Galaxy S7 edge. Regardless, currently the update is labeled as being under "Manufacturer Development."

As for the Android Nougat's features, its main selling point is that it can give the users the capability to run two apps at the same time, which eliminates the need for users to flip back and forth between apps using the "recent apps" button.
