Not too long ago, the Sony Xperia Z3 received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, but it looks like it won't take long before the device gets another upgrade. Just recently, the handset was spotted running the newest build of the operating system, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

The Sony Xperia Z series won't make the jump to the update until August and the units included are just those on Telstra in Australia. Despite this though, the flagship was seen donning the latest version of Lollipop and a video shows off new features integrated in it.

Apparently, Android 5.1.1 will add new notification options for scanning Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices via the notification tray, which will allow users to easily and conveniently access a Wireless network or pair the handset with another Bluetooth device.

The video also shows that the build will bring bug fixes as well as new animations and tweaks for improvements, one of which is the use of flatter icons, which assimilates them very nicely into the new Material Design. GSM Arena notes that there won't be much to see for users who already have Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The footage, however, does not touch on the rollout of the 5.1.1 version. If previous reports are any indication, Sony Xperia Z3 users will make the big move by August.

Meanwhile, Samsung Netherlands has confirmed that owners of the Galaxy Note 3 Neo will be able to switch to Android 5.0 Lollipop soon. The confirmation came after a user inquired via Twitter about the update availability on the aforementioned smartphone.

Unfortunately, the subsidiary was not able to specify a rollout date as there is still no solid information available. It did verify the arrival of Android Lollipop in Poland for the same device but no specific date for this was disclosed simply because the company has yet to determine one.
